108 Sun Salutations (Fall Equinox)

  • West Side Park 1660 Johnson Road Northwest Atlanta, GA, 30318 United States (map)

Completing 108 Sun Salutations is a traditional way to align ourselves with the earth's cycles.

The number 108 symbolizes balance ann order. It is considered sacred in many cultures.

Why We Do This at the Equinox:

The Fall Equinox marks a time of balance between light and dark, as the day and night are of equal length. It is a moment of transition, inviting us to reflect on the harvests in our lives—whether literal or metaphorical—and to set intentions for the season ahead.

Performing 108 Sun Salutations at the change of seasons helps us release stagnant energy, open our hearts, and build resilience, strength, and clarity as we transition into autumn.

Benefits of 108 Sun Salutations:

  • Physical Strength & Flexibility

  • Mental Clarity

  • Grounding

  • Emotional Release

Whether you complete all 108 or take breaks throughout, this practice is for everyone—no experience necessary. Modifications will be provided, and you are encouraged to go at your own pace.

Let’s come together in community and movement to celebrate the shift in seasons and honor the energy of balance and renewal. 🌱

Please bring a yoga mat, water, and any props you need for your practice. Wear comfortable clothing and layers, as the weather may shift.

RSVP at the link below to reserve your spot and align your energy with the change of the season.

We look forward to practicing with you! 🙏✨
