You Don’t Have to Hit the Ground Running on New Year
For many, including myself, 2024 was a HUGE year for growth, guidance, transformation, and more. And as we know, transformation is not easy! (Think caterpillar to butterfly—or crabs risking it all during their molting process.)
Let’s be honest, transformation can be exhausting.
And then, as the year wraps up, we’re hit with holidays, social events, celebrations—you name it. Maybe we get a few days (if we’re lucky!) to reflect on all the lessons 2024 brought us before we are guided to swiftly shift gears and dive into “future planning” with resolutions and goals.
But…what if we didn’t rush this time?
After all, winter just began a little over a week ago! At its core, winter is about rest, reflection, recovery, and simply being. It’s nature’s way of showing us that slowing down is necessary—and beautiful.
So, what If we actually took things slow and steady until Spring just as nature intended for us?
Ways to Slow Down in January
As the new year calendar year kicks off, try leaning into the slower vibe of winter instead of rushing ahead. Here are a few ways to help you slow down and recharge:
Create a Morning Ritual: Start your day with intention—sip tea, journal, meditate, or just take a few quiet moments to yourself.
Limit Screen Time: Give yourself a break from the constant pings and notifications by unplugging for a few hours each day.
Practice Gentle Movement: Explore yoga, stretching, or even a slow walk to reconnect with your body without overdoing it.
Set Boundaries: Say no to things that drain you and yes to what feeds your soul.
Reflect on Your Intentions: Let January be a time to dream, journal, and get clear on what you want for the year—without any rush to make it all happen right now.
How We Can Start Slow Together
Here’s how I’m supporting a slower, more intentional start to 2025:
FREE 7-Week Alignment “Course”
From mid-January through March, you’ll receive weekly emails with videos diving into each of our energy centers. Each week, I’ll guide you through meditation, share journal prompts, and offer actionable ways to work on that specific energy center (or chakra). By the end, you’ll feel more aligned and ready to step into Spring with clarity and balance. (Sign up here)FREE Mid-Week Yoga Resets at the Atlanta Beltline
